I’d love to visit your library!

Do you need an animated and confident speaker for your public library or meeting? I’ve spoken to groups across Ohio and as far away as London.

  • Cooking demonstration: Topics include candy making, regional recipes of Ohio, and cooking with pawpaws.

  • Chronology of cookbooks: Discover the evolution of American cookbooks from 1796 to today.

  • Recipe development behind the scenes: What goes into making the recipes you see online, in magazines, or in cookbooks? It’s not as straightforward as you think! Learn from a veteran of the industry.

  • Foraging talk: Edible plants grow all around us. I gather edible plants right where you are as well as bring some of my own. Everyone can see, smell, and touch what grows in your neighborhood.

  • Historic housekeeping: Learn about what it was like to clean and manage a household in the nineteenth century. (Spoiler: it was hard!)

  • Eco-Friendly Cleaning Hacks: Don’t clean harder—clean smarter! See how to clean your home with less effort and gentle, inexpensive homemade cleaners.
